Broadbent Dance Academy, originally established as the Pam Broadbent School of Dance in 1976, was founded by Pam Broadbent, a passionate and accomplished dancer and educator. What began as a humble dance school built on a love for the art has grown into a thriving academy known for its high-quality training and nurturing environment.

Marnie (Broadbent) Armstrong began dancing at the school at the age of three. After completing her formal teaching qualifications, she joined Pam as a teacher. In 1994, Pam and Marnie became partners, and the school was renamed Broadbent Dance Academy—a reflection of their shared vision and commitment.

Together, Pam and Marnie have over 60 years of combined teaching experience, inspiring students of all ages and abilities. Broadbent Dance Academy is proud to uphold the highest standards of professionalism while remaining committed to nurturing the growth of every student. We focus on teaching correct technique, building performance skills, and supporting our students in developing confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

In November 2014, we relocated to our own purpose-built facility. Our beautiful space features three state-of-the-art studios with sprung floors, wall-mounted mirrors, and barres, as well as a changeroom, waiting area, reception, and more—designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment where students can thrive.
